We built this practice on one conviction: a South African business owner should be able to sit with an adviser who has read the records, flags the risk before it becomes a penalty, and explains the difficult parts in language they can understand.
That came from what we kept running into. Compliance seldom slips because an owner does not care. It slips because the supporting documents were never filed, because a SARS or CIPC deadline passed while everyone assumed someone else was watching it, or because the requirement was explained in jargon that nobody translated. We have sat with owners who signed off annual financial statements without ever being told what those numbers said about their own business. We have seen sound operations where sales, stock, payroll and the bank account each run on their own, with no workflow holding them together.
Seven years in practice across companies, NPOs, trusts and individual taxpayers has shown us where the process breaks. We pair technical accounting and tax compliance with practical knowledge of how a business runs week to week, using cloud accounting, reporting software and automation to keep the work useful and affordable. Our clients should be spending their time on decisions, not chasing paperwork.

Thapelo founded Newday Business Consultants and remains directly responsible for the advice, records and deadlines across every engagement.
Over seven years in practice, Thapelo has supported established SMEs, growing companies and start-ups, as well as NPOs, NPCs, trusts and individual taxpayers at different stages of their financial journey. As a Chartered Business Accountant and SAIT-registered tax practitioner, he brings professional judgement to accounting and financial reporting, tax and employer compliance, CIPC administration, business planning, funding preparation and practical advisory support, using software to strengthen the work rather than replace accountability.
