How personal information is handled.
This notice explains how Newday collects, uses, stores and protects personal information under POPIA.
Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Responsible party: Newday Business Consultants (Pty) Ltd
Information collected
The website collects the information you submit through an enquiry, consultation or quote form, including your name, contact details, entity type, service interest, preferred date and message. Client engagements may also require identity, company, tax, payroll, banking and financial records under a separate engagement process.
Purpose and lawful grounds
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess service needs, prepare a scope, deliver agreed work and meet legal or regulatory duties. Processing is based on consent where requested, steps taken before or under a contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests that do not override your rights. Newday does not sell personal information.
Sharing and operators
Information may be processed by hosting, email, cloud accounting, professional reporting, workflow and secure document-storage providers, or shared with SARS, CIPC and other authorities where required for an agreed service or by law. Some technology providers may process information outside South Africa; contractual and security measures are used where cross-border processing applies.
Security and retention
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information. Enquiries that do not become engagements are normally retained for up to 12 months. Client and statutory records are retained for the periods required by applicable tax, company and professional rules, commonly five years for tax records and seven years for company accounting records, or longer where a dispute or legal hold requires it.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses essential storage needed for secure administration and site operation. Newday does not use website information for behavioural advertising. This notice will be updated before non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced.
Your rights
You may request access to or correction of personal information, object to processing, or request deletion where no legal ground requires retention. Do not submit passwords, one-time PINs or unnecessary identity documents through the website.
Information Officer and complaints
Information Officer enquiries are handled by Thapelo Ramafoko at thapelo@newdaybusinessconsultants.co.za. You may also lodge a POPIA complaint through the Information Regulator, email POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za or call 010 023 5200.
